| On what turned out to be a perfect night for baseball, Holt Jr. Rams Black fought to an 8 - 8 tie in 5 innings against the Williamston Hornets. The Jr. Rams scored one in the first, 5 in the second and one in the third to open up a 7 - 1 lead on the Hornets, however the gritty bunch from out East fought back and took the lead 8 - 7 going into the 5th and final inning. Holt responded woith a run in the 5th and right-handed pitecher Pride shut down the Hornets threat in the bottom of the 5th to salvage the tie. Leading Holt was Pride, Rios, Penski, Fineis, Seyka and Harns all scoring a run each with Grimaldi, Dalton and Sadler each contributing run scoring hits. THe Jr. Rams black crew heads out East again Thursday evening to face Fowlerville at 6:30 PM. |
